There is no attendance fee to get me to a gig. If it involves a long or complicated journey, I may request travel expenses. Guestlist access to the venue, and if relevant, a press pass also need to be arranged.
After a gig, it takes between a day and a week to process the photos, this may be longer if I'm busy. Photos are initially released on Flickr™, resized and watermarked. I always consider these to be free to use by anyone, so long as the watermark stays in place, and a link back to my work/website is included with any reproduction.
If you would like high resolution, unwatermarked copies of them, I am happy to send these out on CD, along with a licence to use, based on the rates below. If you wish to use the photos for any commercial purposes (such as for sale as part of a CD, DVD or t-shirt) a commercial licence can be provided instead.
| Charges for photo CD and non-commercial licence to use | |
| 1 to 5 photos | £10 |
| 6 to 20 photos | £25 |
| More than 20 photos | £35 |
I typically won't split a photo set up smaller than to a specific act/band.
Promotional Material
For promotional material, I charge £40 an hour to shoot, which includes the presence of a Stylist/MUA to assist.
There's a minimum of 2 hours of booked time. Typically I like to meet with clients before the shoot, to exchange ideas, chat about requirements
and agree locations. This meeting is only charged at a rate of one Guinness per hour for myself, and one Fosters an hour for the Make Up Artist
(
) but is invaluable to the quality of the work.
If you have anything particulally interesting or with good guaranteed exposure, both myself and the MUA may be happy to negotiate some alternative terms... contact me if you want to find out more. I promise you won't find a 2 person photography team with more experience for less!
Availability
Music photography is really only my primary hobby, as I also work an office 9-5. Therefore, evenings and weekends are typically free for gigs, but staging promotional material shoots may require some advanced warning and organising to ensure I can make it.
